January 5, 2022: The Low Impact Hydropower Institute has issued a final decision on the certification of the Willow Island Project located on the Ohio River in Ohio and West Virginia.  The 30-day appeal window closed on December 31, 2021 and no appeals were filed.  Therefore, the decision to recertify the project is now final.  The new term is August 17, 2021 through August 16, 2031.
