Décision préliminaire – Recertification du projet Tallassee Shoals, LIHI #12, GA

April 23, 2025: The Low Impact Hydropower Institute has preliminarily approved Low Impact recertification for the Tallassee Shoals Hydroelectric Project located on the Middle Oconee River in Georgia. The full application and reviewer’s report are available in the Certification Files section of the project webpage ICICette décision est préliminaire, dans l'attente d'un délai d'appel de 30 jours. Seuls les participants ayant commenté la demande initiale pendant ce délai de 60 jours sont autorisés à déposer un recours. Ce recours doit inclure une explication expliquant en quoi le projet ne répond pas aux critères du LIHI. Les demandes de recours peuvent être soumises par courriel à l'adresse suivante : commentaires@lowimpacthydro.org with “Tallassee Shoals Project” in the subject line, or by mail addressed to the Low Impact Hydropower Institute, 68 Harrison Ave Ste 605, PMB 113938 Boston, Massachusetts 02111-1929. All requests will be posted to the website. The applicant will have an opportunity to respond, and any response will also be posted. Requests must be received by 5 pm Eastern time on May 23, 2025. If no appeal requests are received the new certification term will be April 22, 2025 and through April 21, 2035.
