May 18, 2021: The Low Impact Hydropower Institute (LIHI) has preliminarily approved the Hunts Pond Project (LIHI #125) for a new 5-year term of Low Impact Certification. The certification includes one condition:

• Condition 1:  By December 31, 2021 the facility Owner shall demonstrate Fédération internationale de radio-télévision (FERC)’s approval of the Stream Flow Compliance Plan dated 1/26/2016 and filed with FERC on May 1, 2017 by submitting to LIHI either a copy of a pre-existing FERC approval as requested in the Plan submittal, or a letter to FERC requesting approval, and the FERC approval issuance within 60 days of receiving it from FERC.

Seuls ceux qui ont commenté la demande initiale pendant la période de commentaires de 60 jours sont éligibles pour déposer un appel. Un tel appel doit inclure une explication sur la raison pour laquelle le projet ne répond pas aux critères du LIHI. Les demandes d'appel peuvent être soumises par courrier électronique à commentaires@lowimpacthydro.org with “Hunts Pond Project” in the subject line, or by mail addressed to the Low Impact Hydropower Institute, 1167 Massachusetts Ave, Office 407, Arlington, MA 02476.

All requests will be posted to the website. The applicant will have an opportunity to respond and any response will also be posted. Requests must be received by 5 pm Eastern time on June 17, 2021. La demande complète et le rapport de l'examinateur sont disponibles ICI.

Si aucune demande d’appel n’est reçue et que la décision devient définitive, la période de certification du projet sera du 11 février 2021 au 10 février 2026.
